Wish

I sometimes wish
That stars align
When you will it to be
And not be ruled by reality.

I sometimes wish
That longing is but a dream
Like horoscopes ubiquitous
And never specific.

I sometimes wish
That truth would not be
So cruel like gruel
Minced, pounded as is.

I sometimes wish
That sleep will deprive
All thoughts and hopes
Of fate tamed like stars.
